Maybe, the term intermittent fasting is just so hard to define. If we will consult the dictionary, the term “intermittent” means “periodic” while the term “fasting” means “eating less.” By understanding the definitions of these words, we have arrived to the definition that intermittent fasting is a periodic way of eating. Intermittent fasting strongly suggests scheduling the food we are going to take within the week. You can assign a day or two wherein you will not eat at all. More often, intermittent fasting is being compared to the traditional or religious way of fasting. This is very popular to Muslims since this is their way to worship their Allah. This is the reason why intermittent fasting is created to detach itself to the traditional one.
As long more and more people are trying to figure out the real and perfect definition for intermittent fasting, we should still stick to the safest way of being healthy and fit which is by having a balanced diet. It may not be as fast at what intermittent fasting could do but its definition is clearer for you.
